The story of Mihail Hristov, a Paralympic world champion long jumper,
begins when he loses both his arms in an electrical accident and decides
to pursue a professional sports career. The film chronicles his struggle
on both the psychological and physical levels. Mihail faces numerous
challenges in sports and his relationships with his parents, coach, and
the girl he falls in love with, largely because is struggling to come to
terms with what has happened to him. Despite this, he becomes a
champion, the inventor of a new type of prosthetics, and a motivational
speaker.

Niki Iliev has a Master’s degree in film Directing and acting from
the New Bulgarian University. He has acted in several foreign
and Bulgarian movies and TV series. His directorial debut is
The Foreigner (2012). His filmography as a director includes
dozens of episodes or entire seasons of the TV series House
Arrest and Dear Heirs on bTV, Policemen out of Town,
Brothers, River Across my Heart and Walk of Fame on
Nova TV, the web series The Closet, as well as the box-office
feature films Living Legends (2014), Knockout or All She Wrote
(2018), Reunion (2019) and Reunion Part 2 (2022). Since 2015,
he has been teaching Film Directing at the New Bulgarian University.
