A young man is trying to overcome his fears by taking Impaled Rektum, a heavy metal band unknown in Finland, to the hottest metal festival in Norway. The journey includes heavy metal, grave robbing, Viking Heaven, and an armed conflict between Finland and Norway.

Jukka Vidgren is from a small town in eastern Finland. His first experiments in film started in his teenage years. Since then, Vidgren has worked as a director, screenwriter, and producer in commercials, music videos, short movies, theatre, and feature films.

Juuso Laatio has always been interested in photography and music—composition, form and structure, rhythm and pace. Acquiring his first 8mm camera at the age of six, Laatio has been photographing, making short films, sketch comedy, and music videos ever since.

Vidgren and Laatio met while studying in Oulu and have collaborated for 15 years. The two are the directors and co-writers of Heavy Trip (2018), the most distributed Finnish film of all time worldwide, sold in over 50 countries and that won numerous prestigious awards at international film festivals.
