Margarit and Margarita are high school seniors. They are madly in love and so proud and independent that they often find themselves in trouble with their parents and teachers. They quit school to live life on their own terms, only to face a world of corruption and brutality.

Margarit refuses to compromise or take part in a game governed by dishonest rules. Margarita is more willing to do so in the name of their future together. A powerful manager takes her under his wing, only to reveal himself as a corrupt womanizer. Unable to tolerate the debauchery of their “protector,” Margarit kills him. After being sentenced, he takes his own life. Unable to live without him, Margarita does the same.
