Toni – a girl with a reckless attitude and a dismissive view of everyone and everything – is relocated from Sofia to Ruse as a form of internal exile. There, she meets Yordan, a man unlike anyone she’s ever known, and unexpectedly falls in love with him. He helps her find a job in his brigade for communist labor at the Ruse shipyard. The relationships within the brigade are superficial, and Toni’s arrival becomes a catalyst that brings hidden flaws and weaknesses to the surface. Some members of the brigade do everything they can to push her out. Yordan proposes marriage, but Toni isn’t ready for such a serious step. She leaves, determined to live a life of dignity.
