Mitch Davis, a selector for the Festival Fantasia in Montreal, comparing Djordjevic to figures such as Gaspar Noe, Lars von Trier, and Michael Haneke, said that The Life and Death of a Porno Gang did for Serbia what Clockwork Orange did for Great Britain.
