In response to a call to a suburb of Sofia, the young social worker Stella falls into the imaginary world of nine-year-old Scarlet and the dark reality of her alcoholic mother, Anastasia. Will Stella be able to fight the mother’s criminal world and corrupt system to save the little girl, who finds a friend in her, and perhaps even the parent she has been missing since her birth?

Maria Bobeva began her career as an actress at the Sofia Satirical Theatre. After several successful seasons on stage, she decided to pursue a career in Hollywood. Attending James Franco’s master class, Maria was inspired to write, and she produced her first short film, Audition, and a little later, Blinks and Scarlet.
