When you are seventeen, you think you know everything; only later you realize that you didn’t and you didn’t want to know either. What happens to a boy of seventeen who has two great talents – writing and fist-fighting – and has to make his choice as to which of them should prevail in his life and help him save the life of his closest friend?

Valery Yordanov was born in 1974 in Sofia, Bulgaria. From 1992 to 1996 he studied at the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in Prof. Stefan Danailov’s class. In 2009, he made his screenwriting and directorial debut, together with Ivan Vladimirov, with the film “Sneakers”.

This film was selected at the festivals in Karlovy Vary, Mannheim and awarded at the Moscow Film Festival. It was also selected by the European Film Academy and was Bulgaria’s 2012 Oscar submission.
