The Rhodope Mountains at the turn of the twentieth century serve as
the backdrop for an unusual love drama. The meeting between Haté and
Meto is fateful, growing from a youthful infatuation into an irresistible
love that forever changes not only their lives but also that of the third
person standing between them. What connects them is desire, sin, and a
sense of duty in a harsh world.

Magdalena Ralcheva graduated with a Master’s in Film and
Television Directing from the National Academy for Theatre
and Film Arts. Founder and director of the Golden Linden IFF
for New European Cinema in Stara Zagora. Film director and
producer, founder of Nuance Film. Her novel, The Tenant,
was awarded the Special Prize at the 2008 ART TV Serbia.
Her debut feature film, Something More About Love (2010),
has won many nominations and awards. Ralcheva’s subsequent
feature film, 12A (2017), has proved a great success with audiences.
