In 1975, in a small town in socialist Bulgaria, Alex is born. He soon leaves his hometown behind. The world is vast, and somewhere out there Alex must find his salvation. It lies hidden everywhere, waiting in silence – in his homeland, in refugee camps, on near and distant continents. Or perhaps it is concealed in the beginning, in his roots, in his family.

Is it true that those who know where they come from know where they are going?

Thirty years later, having lost his parents in an accident, Alex meets his grandfather, who gradually brings him back to life. Together, they embark on a new journey… in the opposite direction. A journey in which a man searches for himself, changes and grows.
