Sami is a visual artist with a keen eye for the untold stories in the surrounding world. He steps away from the comfort of a vibrant evening party, seeking authenticity amidst the chaos of a city in upheaval. Drawn to the energy of street protests, Sami finds himself in a reality where the lines between observer and participant become blurred. The Capture invites the viewers on a gripping journey through the beauty and pain of standing up for one’s beliefs, challenging us to question where we place our own boundaries.

Adi Voicu graduated in Visual Arts and Film from the I. L. Caragiale University of Theatre and Film, Bucharest. As a student, he was DOP of several short films. He has directed several documentaries and held two photo exhibitions. His short film, The Last Journey to the Seaside, premiered at the 2019 Semaine De La Critique, Cannes, and won the Special Jury Mention in Sarajevo, Special Jury Prize in Cottbus (2019), and the Grand Prize in the International Competition at the Rio de Janeiro IFF. The Capture is his first feature film.
