A composer creates a symphony based on birdsong, but fails to recreate the singing of the robin. His wife, an ornithologist, had died while trying to record this bird’s chirruping. Tormented by guilt at her death, he seeks support from a psychologist who helps him realise that he did not listen to or understand her. Every fragment of the past leads him to relive the tragic incident and he is challenged to experience it again in order to find peace.

Iva Mladenova graduated in Cinema and TV Directing from the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (2023). She previously studied Acting for theatre at MONTFIZ Schools, and for film at Film Forge, Nu Boyana Film Studios. She has acted in short film projects. Mladenova’s experience in film direction includes documentaries, short music videos, short features, fight and stunt scenes, and working with animals.
